(SEND classes)
Small groups and private One2One classes to meet every child's needs. For children with special educational needs and disabilities and / or social, emotional and mental health needs.
Dance makes an enormous contribution to our physical, social and creative health and well-being. Developing children's body awareness and repertoire of movement possibilities helps lead to a general improvement in coordination and helps raise confidence and self-esteem through feeling 'at home' in their bodies. Please email Miss Jessica to discuss how we may be able to help. Info@justimagineballet.com
(11+ pre-vocational)
Our pre-vocational programme, designed to support young dancers who are considering a vocational path. Here we encourage young dancers to safely explore their limits as they consolidate classical technique, and build artistry and confidence in performance of repertoire.
At Just Imagine we use PBT as part of our pre-pointe programme to help dancers strengthen their bodies and feet ready for the rigours of pointework. Not only a program to improve technique in ballet dancers, PBT has been appreciated and incorporated in training by all forms of dancers and athletes,
(Pre Primary - Advanced)
Led by registered teachers, these ballet lessons follow the internationally recognised RAD exams syllabus. Including sections on 'character dance', the clear progression between levels and chance to perform in exam conditions can give students a true sense of accomplishment.
(4+)
For the competition teams, students are required to audition. Members of the three teams (Mini, Junior and Teen) will then be given the opportunity to compete and perform in a diverse selection of routines at various events. Dancers must attend all rehearsals.
Does your little dancer love to move and feel the flow of the music? Do they love to explore floorwork, leaps, and travelling steps? Would they like to explore dance beyond classical ballet?
Then our contemporary classes might be just the thing! Each class starts with technical exercises to build strength and control, then dancers work on travelling sequences before learning and creating their own choreography!
(4+)
Fantastic for building musicality, tap classes demand a type of teamwork and concentration that can become a valuable life skill, as well as being good fun! Building from the very basics and drawing from many different syllabi, students of these classes also get a chance to perform in our biennial shows.
Commercial dance is made up of many other dance disciplines such as jazz, street, modern and hip hop and is a combination of self expression, energy and performance. This is the type of dancing you see backing dancers do in music videos, TV shows and adverts. Commercial Dance is very popular now and it is great for building coordination, performance skills and dancing to the latest popular music.
