Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) Classes and Examinations
The Royal Academy of Dance is one of the world’s most influential dance education and training organisations, offering an internationally recognised portfolio of examinations and assessments designed to motivate and encourage students through a systematic measurement of progress and attainment. The Graded Examination Syllabus consists of 10 grades each incorporating classical ballet, free movement and character dance. The syllabus is devised to progress in difficulty from one grade to the next and a student studying the grades in sequence would be expected to develop a greater degree of dance technique at each level.

- Pupils can take RAD Exams at Just Imagine Dance - it is an additional optional offering.
- RAD Exam classes are separate syllabus classes and different to our other Just Imagine ballet classes (Twinkle, Sparkle, Dazzle, Aspire).
- We offer RAD classes from 5 years old. However, pupils can join at any age.
- These classes should be taken in addition to one of Just Imagine Dances core programmes (Twinkle, Sparkle, Dazzle, Aspire).
- Our Just Imagine RAD Exam Programme has had 100% Pass Rate success.

If your child shows a passion and a natural affinity to dance and enjoys learning ballet, perhaps this is an option for them.
We will determine which Grade a pupil begins at, based on age and ability. We will also have final say on your readiness for exams.
